Current view of the house we moved to from Taylor, PA. in 1936. My dad made many changes, but it looks quite different now. We had 2 acres of land, had a good-sized garden, raised pigs and a milking cow. We moved to Highland Avenue, Clarks Summit, in about 1942. I walked up a dirt lane to get to the school bus to go to school and to get our mail. At first we had an "outhouse."
Views of the former Clarks Green Baptist Church, where my father preached for a number of years. We got married in this church. It is now used as a Masonic Lodge.
The house at 516 Highland Avenue that my father built and lived in for a number of years. We visited them there many times.
514 Highland Avenue, where I lived until getting married. My bedroom was the one on second floor with 2 windows. We used to have a wrap-around porch in the front and side. It looks better now than it did then. I was in high school when we moved here.
